Facebook is also very effective to be used as a promotional tool of business for our blog or bussiness . Facebook has a share feature and also can read the link when we write in the our or friends Wall.
But unfortunately because all the links were even able to invite more visitors to our blog, but its not increase pagerank our blog or site.
Why?
Because the link we post always nofollow, so even if we are diligent to write a link or share the url in facebook not only beneficial to increase traffic, not pagerank. Google dont care about high traffic, Google only need dofollow backlink.
Friendster.com, this social networking can be utilized. First they will also have features shared . I dont recommend this.
